Our Service Area: Menands, NY and the Towns Around It
Our crew puts permanent lights along the roofline of homes from Menands out to Albany, Troy and Colonie. The lights stay put all year, you run them from your phone, and the track sits low and tidy by day. Below is the list of towns and what we check on every house.
Towns We Cover
Our home base is Menands, NY. From here we drive to jobs in Albany, Troy, Watervliet and Rensselaer most weeks. We also work in Cohoes, Latham, Colonie, Loudonville, Roessleville and North Greenbush. If your town is close to that list and not on it, give us a call and ask. Most of the time the answer is yes.
The job runs the same way in every town. We come out, look at your roofline and gutters, and find where the power will come from. Then we explain your options in plain words: which color modes you get, how the track mounts, and what the app does. You get a free quote before anything goes on your house. On install day we run the track, hide the wiring, test every zone with you, and pick up after ourselves.

What We Plan For Around Here
- Older and newer homes
- This area has a lot of older homes with wood fascia and trim, next to newer builds with aluminum or vinyl wrap. Each one takes a different mount. On wood we check for soft spots first, because track holds best on solid board. On aluminum and vinyl we use fasteners sized for thin material so nothing cracks or loosens. We tell you what we found before we drill.
- Snow, ice and cold
- Winters here bring snow, ice and lots of freeze and thaw. We set the low-profile track tight under the roofline so snow and ice slide past instead of catching on it. The lights are rated for outdoor use in the cold, so you can leave them up all year and stop climbing a ladder every November.
- Short winter days
- It gets dark early in the colder months. With app-controlled lights you set a schedule once and the house lights up on time. You can switch to warm white on a regular night and bright colors for a holiday or a game day, all from your phone.
- Power, HOAs and permits
- Most systems plug into an outdoor outlet near where the controller mounts. If you don't have one in a good spot, we point that out at the quote so it isn't a surprise later. If you live under an HOA, check its rules on exterior lighting before install. We can walk you through what to ask, and we let you know up front if your town needs any paperwork for the job.
Find Out How Your House Would Look Lit Up
Tell us where you live and a little about the place, such as how many stories it has and whether the trim is wood or vinyl. We'll set a time to come by, measure the roofline and explain each option in plain terms. You decide on your own schedule.
